DAVID M. CHOI, YOUTH PASTOR
Pastor David is originally from Chicago, Illinois, and is the proud son of Korean immigrants. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies and Theology from Wheaton College, and then his Master of Arts in Religion, with a concentration in Theology and Ethics, from Yale University.
David’s heart for youth ministry stems from his own spiritual upbringing. At a small Korean-American church back home in Chicago, David encountered Christ for the first time as a youth group student. It was through the faithful ministry of his youth pastor, and other key mentors, that he experienced the genuine grace of Jesus Christ in his own life.
In youth ministry, Pastor David’s desire is for his students to truly know that God loves them by pointing them to the cross. Practically, his ministry seeks the holistic formation of disciples, through bible studies, creative liturgy, and outreach. And he seeks to build up leaders for God’s kingdom by cultivating and utilizing the gifts of individuals within the church.
